The 64bit-aware applications get over 16 64 extra registers as well as a bunch of other features (more instructions) compared to 32bit ones. This should translate into at least some extra performance in most workloads. Maybe something else is the bottleneck of your setup than the CPU. In that case it might not matter.

Grim Dawn has an atmosphere that is a lot more like Diablo 1 (and also close to D2), it has closer spawns, it has factions. It also has additional features on top of TQ/IT (mainly the Devotions check the Grim Dawn site for tons of info) and has lots of additional faction gear -- like grenades-throwables, special potions, and special armor/weapons.

Feb 11, 2019 · Typing /d3d9 in the game launch option doesn't seem to do anything at all for me. The game still launch on d11. That is how you enable DX9 and I have used it before and it does "work". However, if you were doing it in an attempt to resolve an fps issue then the fact that it changed nothing indicates that your fps issue is not DX related.
Well, powbam, I am specifically looking for the difference in Grim Dawn. I do know (roughly) the difference in general but of course it all depends on how any given game makes actual use of the DX features.
